Your Mind Is Burning

How the inner overheating of the modern mind creates the myth of man-made global warming

Your mind is literally burning.

It is overheating from information overload, chronic stress, and existential panic. And because most people cannot bear that inner heat, they project it outward: the planet itself must be burning — and it’s our fault.

The Dogma That Dare Not Speak Its Name

That is the deepest psychological mechanism behind the entire global-warming religion. The official doctrine insists that human CO₂ emissions are causing dangerous, man-made global warming. Anyone who demands an open, evidence-based debate is immediately branded a “denier”.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] Yet when you actually ask for solid proof and honest scientific discussion, the response is almost always evasion, ridicule, or censorship. Logically, the side that refuses debate has already lost it.[10][11][12]

Instead of evidence, we are served the endlessly repeated “97% consensus” mantra. But consensus is not science. As Michael Crichton famously said:
“There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period.”10

As Henrik Ibsen has already noted:

“The majority is never right. Never, I tell you! That’s one of these lies in society that no free and intelligent man can help rebelling against. Who are the people that make up the biggest proportion of the population — the intelligent ones or the fools?”.11

When Consensus Kills

History is littered with examples where a tiny minority turned out to be correct while the “consensus” was catastrophically wrong. Here are a few historical examples in which the scientific consensus was spectacularly wrong, while the truth belonged to a ridiculed minority (or even a single individual):

• Ignaz Semmelweis and hand-washing (1847)

Semmelweis demonstrated that maternal mortality in childbirth dropped from ~30 % to less than 1 % when doctors washed their hands in chlorinated lime solution before examinations. The medical “consensus” mocked him, branded him a charlatan, and accused him of “insulting the dignity of physicians”. Semmelweis died in a psychiatric asylum; the consensus persisted for another three decades — until Pasteur and Lister finally proved him right.[13]

• Prions as infectious agents (Stanley Prusiner, 1982)

Prusiner was ridiculed for claiming that diseases such as Creutzfeldt–Jakob and mad-cow disease (BSE) are caused by a protein that contains no DNA or RNA. The consensus dismissed the idea as “scientific science-fiction”. He received the Nobel Prize in 1997.[14]

• Bacteria as the cause of stomach ulcers (Barry Marshall & Robin Warren, 1982)

The medical consensus insisted for twenty years that ulcers were caused by stress and excess stomach acid. Marshall drank a culture of Helicobacter pylori, developed ulcers, cured himself with antibiotics, and only then — in 2005 — was awarded the Nobel Prize.[15]

Scientific Consensus killed people for decades.

Your Mind Is on Fire

Modern man’s psyche is on fire. The statistics are terrifying:
In 2020, 40% of American adults reported serious mental health or substance-use struggles.[16]

By 2024–2025, over one billion people worldwide live with a mental disorder; anxiety and depression rates are 25–30% higher than pre-pandemic levels.[17]
More than 720,000 people die by suicide every year — one every 43 seconds.[18]
Antidepressant consumption in Western countries has roughly doubled in the last fifteen years.[19]

Brazilian psychiatrist Augusto Cury calls it “the madness of the modern mind”: we live on average eighty years, but our brains are so overloaded that those eighty years feel like twenty.[20][21] The engine is red-hot.

The Fever You Feel Is Inside Your Head

When the inner temperature becomes unbearable, the primitive associative mind does what it has always done: it projects.

“I feel burning anxiety” → “my inner climate is burning” → “the Earth’s climate is burning, and greedy humans are to blame”.

This is textbook psychological projection — but it is also a classic case of anthropomorphisation. We do not merely displace our feelings; we bestow human traits upon the inanimate planet. We speak of the Earth having a “fever”, of her “crying”, “groaning”, or “sending us warnings”. The lifeless rock becomes a suffering, vengeful mother.[22]

The same mechanism is ancient:

• In the Old Testament, storms and droughts are God’s wrath made visible (the plagues of Egypt, the great flood, Elijah’s drought).[23]

• In Tolkien’s Middle-earth, the mountain Caradhras actively hates the Fellowship and attacks with malice: “Caradhras had not forgiven us… He has more evil things than snow to send against us.”[24]

• In Hardy’s The Return of the Native, Egdon Heath has the characteristics of a living, almost human being with its own character, emotions, will and moral dimension.[25]

• In Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, the jungle whispers and watches like a conscious enemy.[26]

A frightened man walking in the mountains sees menacing sentinels; the same peaks, to a lover, smile down like benevolent guardians. Psychological research confirms that anthropomorphisation of nature, weather systems, and even the cosmos dramatically increases under stress, loneliness, and the need for control.[27] In climate alarmism, the planet becomes a gigantic, feverish patient whose “symptoms” are read as moral punishment for human sin — a perfect projection screen for collective guilt and terror.

The mechanism is identical to the Aztec belief that the sun would not rise unless enough human hearts were torn out.[28][29] Instead of looking inside, we invent an external catastrophe that can be “fixed” by ritual sacrifice — carbon taxes, meat bans, flight shame, net-zero madness.[30]

Witch Hunts, Fallout Shelters, Y2K, and Now CO2

This is textbook psychological projection and anthropomorphisation. The lifeless planet becomes a feverish, vengeful mother who punishes her children. History is full of identical mass hysterias that cost fortunes to “solve” imaginary or wildly exaggerated threats:

• Witch-hunts (15th–18th century): entire judicial systems, prisons, and torture machinery built to fight non-existent witches.[31]

• Cold-War atomic bunkers: governments and private citizens spent billions on shelters that would have been useless in a real nuclear war.[32]

• Anti-spy-balloon programmes: the U.S. poured resources into intercepting Soviet balloons whose strategic value was negligible.[33]

• Y2K panic: corporations and governments wasted tens of billions of dollars on a “millennium bug” that caused almost no damage.[34]

In every case, collective anxiety — often deliberately amplified — produced astronomical humanitarian and/or economic costs for phantom threats. The global-warming crusade is simply the latest, most expensive, and most global example of this recurring psychosis.

The Sun Is Cooling Down

While we panic about warming, the Sun is entering a Grand Solar Minimum (2020–2053). Valentina Zharkova’s models (97 % accurate) predict up to 1 °C cooling — enough to cancel any CO₂ effect and possibly trigger a new Little Ice Age.[35][36][37][38][39] Nobel laureate physicist John Clauser (2022) has repeatedly declared since 2023 that “there is no climate crisis whatsoever” and that cloud-cover changes driven by solar activity dwarf CO₂ effects.[40] The same verdict comes from Richard Lindzen, William Happer,[41] Judith Curry,[42] and the World Climate Declaration signed by 1,947 scientists and professionals (including 12 Nobel laureates): “There is no climate emergency.”[43][44]

As Judith Curry puts it: “The 97% consensus is a big joke. Scientists do not agree on the most consequential issues.”[45] And Richard Lindzen warns: “The fact that the developed world went into hysterics over changes in global mean temperature anomaly of a few tenths of a degree will astound future generations.”[46]

Echoing this, chemical engineer Henri Masson has mathematically proven that medium- to long-term temperature forecasts are meaningless due to climate chaos: “Any forecast of temperature in a given point is meaningless on the medium or longer term, which is intuitively obvious from weather forecasts.”[47] His signature analysis of time series shows models like IPCC’s ignore non-linear dynamics, leading to “unsubstantiated decisions with huge global consequences.”[48]

Even more damning: despite alarmist predictions, 2025 data shows declining heatwave intensity in many regions. NOAA reports marine heatwave coverage dropping to 26% in August (15% trend-adjusted), with forecasts for slight decreases through year-end in the Southern Ocean, Southeast Pacific, and Indian Ocean.[49] In the U.S., June heatwaves affected fewer counties than in 2024, with only 7% of the surface seeing record warmth—down from 2024 peaks—while aerosol reductions in Asia and Europe have paradoxically cooled some urban areas by 0.5–1°C.[50] Lindzen adds: “If you reach Net Zero by 2050 worldwide, you avoid about a third of a degree of warming. If it’s just Europe and the Anglosphere, it’s closer to a tenth.”[51] Why the hysteria?

Even the language betrays the projection. Activists constantly speak of the planet having a “fever”. They organise “Earth Listening Meditations” in which participants are told to “feel what Mother Earth wants to tell us”.[52] But meditation, by definition, is listening to your own mind — not to a 13,000-kilometre rock floating in space.[53] What they actually hear is their own panic, misattributed to “Gaia”. And like in The Matrix, we half-suspect that reality itself is just a simulation of our deepest fears.[54]

The fight against man-made global warming is therefore not an ecological campaign.
It is mass therapy through external scapegoating.

Until we cool our minds — through real silence, real digital limits, real emotional work — we will keep inventing ever hotter planetary nightmares.

The Ultimate Displacement Activity

Finally, the alleged man-made climate crisis is the perfect, top-tier displacement activity of our time: a convenient mega-issue that governments, corporations, and activists obsess over precisely so they do not have to face the truly lethal, unsolvable problems staring us in the face.

After a century of “war on cancer” we still have no cure.

Antibiotic resistance is exploding.

Dementia and severe mental illness are skyrocketing.

Finding no meaning in life, almost a million people commit suicide every year – often leaving their loved ones in mourning for the rest of their lives.

We have no viable replacement for rapidly depleting fossil fuels.

Technological progress has been visibly decelerating for decades.

Humanity has not been liberated—even slightly—from back-breaking physical labour, despite centuries of promises.[55][56][57][58]

Armed conflicts rage in 61 hotspots, causing over 200,000 battle-related deaths in 2024 alone, displacing millions and fueling famine cycles.[59][60]

Over 673 million people face chronic hunger worldwide, with 9 million deaths annually from starvation and malnutrition—including millions of children.[61][62][63]

If Zharkova is right about the Grand Solar Minimum (2020–2053), dismissing her predictions will leave us utterly unprepared for the coming cooling. A drop of up to 1°C could devastate unprepared agriculture, slashing crop yields and exacerbating hunger in vulnerable regions—without stockpiles or early adaptations, famines could surge, turning today’s 673 million undernourished into tomorrow’s catastrophe.[64][65]

We can keep playing with new substitute topics, more anthropomorphisation, fresh myth-making, and ever-larger collective psychoses and projections.

Or we can finally grow up.

If we don’t, our civilisation—and our species—will not survive.

The Real Fear Is Not Outside

Deep within the human soul lies an unnamed existential and metaphysical dread: the fear of death, the fear of annihilation, the fear of meaninglessness.

This primal, unspoken terror constantly seeks an outlet. Collective psychoses are its favourite escape hatch.

They transform the diffuse, unbearable dread into a concrete, nameable enemy we can fight.

It is a short-term anaesthetic, but a long-term poison.

When one psychosis burns out, another immediately takes its place.

In recent decades the reigning psychosis has been climate alarmism: the projection of our inner overheating onto the physical planet.

The panic is irrational, the discussion becomes impossible, and the compulsive actions of activists, governments, and NGOs weaken societies and blind us to real existential threats.

If we once feared spies and surveillance, the deeper terror was being watched by our own conscience.

If we once trembled before nuclear annihilation, the real fear was death and judgment.

If we now fear the planet “overheating”, the true source of the heat is the frantic, overstimulated mind of modern man.

We must put an end to this cycle.

The only lasting cure is spiritual and philosophical education that gradually frees people from their deepest dread and teaches them to recognise these substitute fears for what they are.[66][67][68]

Stay Cool and Stop Trying to Cool the Planet

The thermostat we truly need to fix is not in the atmosphere.

It is between our ears.

Stop trying to cool the planet.

Start cooling your mind.

Then, and only then, will both you and the Earth stop burning.

And it will live.

Invoking the “97% consensus” as proof of man-made global warming is a textbook example of the logical fallacy known as consensus gentium (or argumentum ad populum applied to science). Truth in science is never determined by majority vote or the sheer number of adherents; it is determined by evidence, reproducibility, and falsifiability. History of science repeatedly shows that breakthroughs almost always came from small minorities while the “consensus” was spectacularly wrong (heliocentrism, plate tectonics, bacterial cause of ulcers, continental drift, etc.).

[38] Zharkova, V.V. – interview on Tom Nelson Podcast #278, February 2025.

[39] Zharkova’s team quantified the model’s performance using correlation coefficients between predicted and observed data:

For recent cycles (21–24): The superposition explains ~39% of SBMF variance (from the two principal components) and achieves a 97% correlation (r ≈ 0.97) with observed sunspot numbers and magnetic field variations when combining the waves. This high accuracy holds for fitting cycles 21–23 and partially validating cycle 24 (up to ~2021).

For millennial-scale reconstruction (1200–3300 CE): Back- and forward-extrapolation using symbolic regression-derived trigonometric formulas (e.g., B(t)=a sin(2π t/P₁+φ₁)+b sin(2π t/P₂+φ₂), where φ₁ and φ₂  are the wave frequencies) aligns with ~67% accuracy against proxy records like carbon-14 isotopes for grand cycles and minima timings. The beating effect from phase differences (increasing ~4° per cycle) correctly positions minima every 350–400 years.

These metrics stem from PCA eigenvalues (λ ≈ 0.67 for the principal pair) and regression fits, as detailed in her 2015 Scientific Reports paper and subsequent works (e.g., 2020 Temperature editorial, 2022 MNRAS). The 97% figure specifically refers to in-sample prediction for the calibration period (1976–2015), with out-of-sample tests for cycle 24 showing ~80–90% alignment up to observed data.

Zharkova’s demonstration is formally rigorous within its PCA framework. As of November 2025, cycle 25 data generally supports reduced activity trends. Despite this, the consensus (IPCC, NASA) remains skeptical, and her work is controversial in the mainstream. Zharkova responds scientifically—through publications and data—rather than through personal polemics. She maintains that time will validate her model (by 2053) and accuses critics of ignoring the Sun’s role in favor of “climate politics.”
